Crystal Optimization
Monthly (some require story progression to unlock)
1. Redeem these codes (updated regularly)
2. Complete Mira challenges
- One fully glowed up of each of the five stat types (Fresh, Sexy, Sweet, Cool, Elegant) should get you most of the rewards (5-star glow-ups if possible, 4-star if not)
- Returns decrease the more challenges you complete
- Purchase crystals from the Mira store
- Filling out the Infinity Hearts, which provide bonuses to stats, makes this easier
3. Purchase the monthly crystals for Surging Ebbs and Tranquility Droplets in the in-game store. You acquire these from resonating.
4. Any time-limited event activities
6. Complete the in-game surveys
Once those are complete
1. Complete all story and quests
2. Complete the Folklore Guide; speak with the NPC Ciceto for additional diamonds
3. Complete all mini-games (including in Sea of Stars, where the mini-games are co-op)
Once those are complete
1. Complete this map (Whimstars, Dews of Inspiration, etc)
2. Collect, craft, evolve, and glow-up outfits (and recycle your old outfits)
Minor
1. Repair all street lights (worth roughly 1 crystal in diamonds)
2. Upgrade eurekas (the high stars are expensive, but the low stars cost only, roughly, 30 eureka upgrade materials)
3. Anything listed in the courses (found within the Pear-Pal)
General Tips
1. If the goal is to complete banners? Do not pull until you have 200 crystals, if you can.
2. Do not use diamonds for anything else… or at least minimize their usage. Nearly everything else you can use diamonds for simply requires patience to acquire; an exception is each season seems to have 1 or 2 cheap diamond items you cannot get after the season ends.
3. Stellerites have an abysmal conversation rate to Diamonds, so using them this way is discouraged, unless you are at the end of season, and have few other options to acquire something.
4. Unless you are both willing and able to spend very large sums of money: learn to skip banners, evolutions, etc. A lot of them. We just got in-game housing. No real-life homeless and bankrupt nikkis please.
Rough Estimate of Permanent One-time F2P Diamonds/Crystals (as of version 1.8; the amount increases over time)
In total, you are able to attain somewhere over 2 limited banners worth of diamonds/crystals from completing the non-recurring items listed. If trends continue, this amount should increase by roughly 2 banners annually, roughly.
Then, roughly averaging per month (amounts vary per month)...
- 130 pulls (2/3 a limited 5* banner) as f2p
- An extra 20 with the monthly pass (1/2 a limited 4* banner)
- an extra 20 as a low-spender (15-ish USD; 1/2 a limited 4* banner).
- In total, as a low spender, you would reach just under the average-ish number of pulls required for a limited 5* banner (170/180).*

When spending $s
1. If paying money, the best bang-for-your-buck for crystals is the monthly diamond pass. Nearly everything else in the shop has an “expediency tax,” and costs (often considerably) more for crystals in the long-term.
2. waiting until the final week of a season lets you know if you will like next season’s stuff more than the current season, so it can be better to wait late in the season to pull.
Steam-specific Thriftiness
Many steam items and cards can be sold for Steam credit, which can be used to purchase things in Nikki.
This includes cards received from playing Infinity Nikki through Steam (only for those also spending on the game through Steam). Effectively, they are a random discount; the cards range in value from cents to dollars.
